Kerry Nugent Senior Vice President - Liquid Chromatography
Kerry Nugent has joined Bruker as Senior Vice President - Liquid Chromatography. Kerry was previously the President and founder of Michrom Bioresources. He is an alumus of the University of California, Davis with a MS in Analytical Biochemistry, and over 35 years experience in biochemical method development and instrument design. Kerry started his career with Shell Oil in their Biological Sciences Research Center researching pesticide metabolites by HPLC. He then held several positions in IBM’s Scientific Instrument Division, followed by a short tenure at the venture capital startup Bionovus. In 1989, Kerry started Michrom Bioresources, a company that specializes in HPLC instrumentation and applications for biotechnology and pharmaceutical scientists.
Brad Yamamoto Operations
Brad Yamamoto has joined Bruker as Operations Manager - Liquid Chromatography. Brad had previously been with Michrom Bioresources for over 13 years. Starting out in 1998 as the Materials Manager and working up to the position of Vice President of Operations in 2003. Mr. Yamamoto holds a MA in International Business. Before coming to Michrom, Brad was the Parts and Accessories Manager for Mazda Motors.
Lori Ann Upton Technology
Lori Ann Upton has joined Bruker as Technology Manager - Liquid Chromatography. She had previously been with Michrom since 1998, contributing to a variety of departments including applications, quality control and technical support. Ms. Upton holds a BS degree and has over 20 years of laboratory LCMS separations experience spanning clinical HTS to proteomics ID and quantitation. Prior to joining Michrom, Ms. Upton worked in diagnostic pathology for Mercy General Hospital, and environmental screening for Quanterra Corning.
David Kennedy Engineering
David Kennedy has joined Bruker as R&D Engineering Manager - Liquid Chromatography. He had previously been with Michrom since 2001, contributing innovative and creative designs to a variety of Michrom products. He was instrumental in various development projects including UHPLC, MS and CaptiveSpray design. Mr. Kennedy holds a degree in Electronic Engineering and has over 20 years of experience in electro-mechanical design, manufacturing and diagnostics. Prior to joining Michrom, he worked as an adjunct professor at Sierra Community College and Verifone as a competitive analysis engineer.
David Mintline Software
David Mintline has joined Bruker as Software Manager - Liquid Chromatography. He was previously the Software Manager at Michrom. David holds a MS degree in Electrical Engineering and has over 25 years of software development experience. Prior to joining Michrom, he worked as a Senior Software Engineer for a Voice over IP technology company.
